New Supervisory Management Course just Launched

The Open College is delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Supervisory Management (FETAC/QQI Level 6) award.
This newly validated FETAC/QQI Supervisory Management course, equips existing Team Leaders and Supervisors (and those considering a career in managing people) with skills to lead and supervise teams successfully.
Students will learn how to:
(1) analyse situations and make decisions,
(2) develop quality customer service plans,
(3) plan and organise people, and
(4) understand the role of strategic planning and change management.

New Montessori Major Award
The Open College is delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Major Award in Montessori with ECCE (FETAC/QQI Level 6).
This part-time distance learning ECCE with Montessori programme will enable learners to work as autonomous practitioners in an ECCE setting providing them with a broad range of theories and practice in Early Childhood Care and Education in addition to a comprehensive knowledge of the Montessori Method of Education for children in the age range 3- 6 years.

Personal & Professional Development (FETAC/QQI Level 6)
The purpose of this newly validated Personal & Professional Development award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to utilise a range of advanced personal and interpersonal skills in a variety of personal, civic and specific vocational contexts, operating autonomously and/or in a supervisory capacity.
The module presents you with key theory in relation to the specific topics. In addition, there are various activities for you to complete as you proceed through your study.

Managing People (FETAC/QQI Level 6)
This comprehensive course, equips existing Managers (and those considering a career in managing people) with detailed knowledge of employee legislation, motivating staff, appraisals, disciplinary procedures, recruitment, selection and personal development. Students will learn how to:
- manage staff performance and under performance,
- motivate, empower and develop staff,
- build effective workplace relationships, and
- understand the implications of Irish employee related legislation.
